2. Be a regular visitor to the www.trapperman.com forum and chat room.

3. If legal where you trap, learn to snare. Snares are simple to set and if you make your own, they could cost 75 cents each to make.

4. Scout. They say that a good trapper should scout three times as many places as need. When you scout do a thorough job of it or you just wasted your time. Also, study any maps, topographical and plat mats to help pick out locations to scout.
